About
“Someone who places importance on oneself appears arrogant. Someone who places value on oneself appears confident.”
Value is what we give to others from our authentic selves. One of my guidelines is: “Seek the highest value in your soul and give of it abundantly.” A friend once described me as a “mystical union of opposites”. While this sounds lyrically quite colorful, for a big part of my life I tried in vain to fit in to the various molds society offered. It was like pushing a square into a round hole.. one edge always stuck out. One a constant quest looking for answers while trying to find that one place to fit in, I collected a consortium of degrees. Over several decades, I gained expertise in careers that appeared very different from each other, all along doubting that I would ever find my own comfortable ground. Then, in one epiphanic moment about 15 years ago, I looked back at all that I had done, suddenly realizing how everything perfectly contributed to what I have to offer today. While I am still a voracious student, I became an educator for innovative solutions in natural health and performance, in humans as well as animals.
“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
So there is plenty of education, a dual doctorate, one in Veterinary Medicine, and a PhD. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, some degrees in nutrition and herbalism, certificates as a personal trainer, hypnotherapist, life coach, trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming alongside a decade of licenses in … you won’t believe it, Real Estate. Let’s not do that again because I was not very good at it. Whether degrees, accolades or honors, who we ARE as our authentic, honest, vulnerable selves is what matters. Life is a constant journey on which I attempt to be the best possible version of myself in body, mind and heart.
